Curiosity
Intentionality
Growth mindset

I approach my work with these core values.
As a child, I often got into trouble for poking my head into random spots, asking too many “whys,” and pulling apart things just to see how they worked. That curiosity never left me; it became the way I approach my work.
I pair it with intentionality, a deliberate attention to why each decision exists and who it serves.
And because design is never finished, neither is learning. I hold my assumptions loosely, welcome feedback as a gift, and believe the best work comes from continuously unlearning and rebuilding.
You could say I've been everywhere.

I was born in Myanmar, grew up in Singapore, spent high school in Salt Lake City, and went to college in Los Angeles before settling in San Francisco.
Each place handed me a unique lens — a different set of social codes, aesthetics, and ways of being in the world. Living across contrasting cultures taught me to pay close attention: to what people leave unsaid, to the details that make one community's experience feel nothing like another's. That attentiveness is at the heart of how I design.
I studied Communication and Digital Humanities at UCLA — not a traditional design path, and I've come to see that as an advantage.
My background taught me that design goes beyond the visual: it's about how images, language, and media influence the way people experience and understand the world. Before I ever reach for a tool, I always ask: who is this for, what do they feel, and why does it matter?

Some kind words from the people around me
“Aye is so incredibly thorough in her work. I love how she always seems to take a step back from what’s asked for and think critically about problems from a user-first perspective before diving into design.”
“Aye is a creative problem solver, eager to grow and think outside the box, curious and innovative. Aye is such a talented designer. I love working with you!”
“Aye is a motivated self starter. What really impressed me about Aye was her ability to create something with the tiniest amount of context. Aye helped build Lodestone's social media presence from the ground up.”
